The feed is a composition, not a queue of posts
Designing Instagram like a spread: rhythm, pauses, contrast and a colour that returns.

Most profiles are designed one post at a time. The result is a noisy grid where every image argues with the next one.
We work in blocks of nine: we decide where the emptiness goes, where the typography goes, where the colour goes. Then we fill it. It is the same reasoning as an editorial grid.
The benefit is not only aesthetic: a composed feed lowers production cost, because every piece of content already knows what shape it has to be.
